  • SOW-Enabling rural youth through practical education
The Skills on Wheels (SOW) project is dedicated to equipping students in underserved villages with hands-on vocational training, empowering them to build sustainable careers.
Over the course of two years, this initiative will provide practical education to approximately 350 students, enabling them to gain essential skills across various domains.
A specially outfitted school bus, functioning as a mobile lab and workshop, travels to schools across five villages in the Nagda district of Madhya Pradesh. Conducting sessions twice a week, it exposes students to crucial skill sets in engineering, energy and the environment, food processing, and agriculture. These sessions bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application to foster both technical and career development.

The program also focuses on 7th and 8th-grade students from families of daily wage workers and small-scale farmers—demographics that typically lack access to the hands-on educational experiences necessary to improve their career prospects.
Through this vocational training, students not only refine their technical skills but also gain real-world exposure to academic concepts, expanding their opportunities for future employment and entrepreneurship.

  • Desk Kits: Provided multifunctional desk kits to underprivileged children to facilitate and improve their daily learning environment.
  • Skills on Wheels (Prior Phase): Delivered vocational training and life skills to rural communities in Madhya Pradesh, helping underprivileged individuals secure employment and build sustainable livelihoods locally.
  • Maker Lab Udaipur: Supported school dropouts and at-risk children across five villages by teaching them vital life skills, helping them turn creative inventions into small profit-making businesses.
