Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha (SSS), Nagpur, Maharashtra

The core mission of the Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha (SSS) is to fundamentally improve the quality of life for differently-abled children and young adults through specialized education and structured vocational training.

The program extends critical training and guidance to parents, recognizing that the successful rehabilitation and social integration of neurodivergent individuals depend heavily on a supportive home environment.

The Women’s Rehabilitation Group (WRG) maintains a deep, ongoing commitment to this mission, actively partnering with SSS to support its programs.

The center keeps children and young adults actively engaged in meaningful rehabilitation projects, including crafting traditional rakhis, painting Diwali diyas, and creating floral bouquets.

These vocational activities instill a sense of accomplishment and pride. As the leadership at SSS notes, while the individuals may not fully grasp complex financial concepts, they take immense pride in working and earning an income just like their siblings and peers.

The institution maintains a resilient educational framework capable of shifting to remote learning platforms when necessary to ensure undisrupted student development.

During COVID times- Out of 73 enrolled Special Education students, 65 actively utilize and benefit from online learning and remote support services. 52 students were enrolled in the Rehab and Vocational program. 41 consistently participated in virtual training modules and maintained their skill progression from home.
